🤔 Where do you position the 10 Foundational Elements of Collaboration? 

🤔 Why are other essential aspects of great collaboration (such as Trust) missing?

These are some of the most common questions I am getting regarding the 10 Foundational Elements of Collaboration (10FEoC). ⁉️ And they are all spot on! 

The 10FEoC is part of a bigger picture (Collaboration Diamond) that covers Collaboration at the Operational, Tactical, and Strategic levels.

Of course, you can survey your teams and individuals on all 16 Elements to get a holistic understanding. Still, some elements, like Trust, may be tricky to measure. Trust is something that you build. It has a very complex depth. For example, I may trust you will return the $20 I've lent you for lunch, but I don't trust you to talk to senior stakeholders.

Even though "strategy comes first," the idea of focusing on the 10FEoC is to start fixing the "basics" of how people interact on a day-to-day basis as soon as possible. Since it is on the operational level and touches the foundation of your organization, it requires strong people development, which requires time. Operationalizing strategy is one of the toughest tasks for any organization.🎯
